Hello, crafty friends!

Thanks for hanging out with me! Whether you’re on a family vacation, a business trip, or simply enjoying an afternoon at the park, finding time for your creativity can be a challenge. That’s where pre-designed card kits and a well-packed travel craft bag come in! These simple tools are the perfect solution for making handmade cards without the hassle of bringing your entire craft room with you.

Creative crafting anywhere!

With a pre-designed card kit and a thoughtfully packed travel bag, you can easily turn travel time into creative time. Embrace the simplicity of a pre-made design, but don’t hesitate to add your own personal touches. The next time you’re on the go, you’ll be ready to make and share something handmade and heartfelt.

What to include in your travel bag

  • The basics: Even with a kit, you’ll still need some fundamental tools.
    • Small, sharp scissors: Crucial for snipping elements and ribbon. Check TSA guidelines if you’re flying.
    • Adhesives: Bring a few options. A tape runner is quick and mess-free, while liquid adhesive or glue dots are great for intricate elements and adding dimension.
    • Pens and markers: A black journaling pen is great for writing notes or sentiments. A white gel pen for faux stitching too!

  • The little extras: These items aren’t necessary but can elevate your cards.
    • Ribbon or twine: Add a simple bow or wrap a piece around a card for a sophisticated look.
    • Embellishments: Small gems, sequins, or mini paperclips can add sparkle and texture.
    • Sentiment Strips: Adding an extra greeting can amp up your cards making them more custom.

  • The organizational tools: To prevent a crafting chaos, keep your supplies organized.
    • Trash Bags: Use a small doggy doo bags and tape to keep the area where you are crafting tidy and trash free. Paper lunch sacks work wonderful too.
    • Clear Cello bags: Place different components of your project in separate bags to keep them together. For example, store all the pieces for one card in its own bag.

  1. Hi Tina, I love seeing you having fun with your husband. Glad to know I”m not alone in wanting to bring along a little crating-on-the-go.

I’ve always wondered – what do you do with all the cards you create?

  2. Happy Anniversary to you both. A fun trip and a wonderful video to share your travel crafting. I, too, wonder what you do with the cards you make. Do you donate them. I just sent some to an assisted living facility and still have lots left so I would like to know what other cardmakers do with their cards.
