Papertrey Ink – Build-a-Hat Cardmaking Inspiration and Tutorial

Hi there, fabulous cardmaking crafters!

Hope your day is going great! I’ve got a delightful card to share that’s perfect for just saying hello this Winter. The Papertrey Ink Build-a-Hat Die is such a whimsical set, you can create so many different winter hats and it is also large enough to create a shaped card. Wow, this is super fun! I am also using the new This is Big Sentiments: Snow Stamp & coordinating Die set for my greeting! I used pink today but if you want to send this to a boy, just switch out the color and there you have it!

I added detail in my background with one of the etched dies in the Build-A-Hat set. Then diecut my hat with Pale Peony and Sweet Blush cardstock, the pom pom of the hat I doubled for extra fluffiness. I used the stitched detail over the rick rack and I love the texture it adds. For a little extra winter I added a few snowflakes in my background, they came from the set too. I heat embossed my greeting on Spring Rain cardstock and added my sub sentiment. Don’t forget to drop by the Papertrey Ink Shop and check out the latest Release! The process video is down below or CLICK HERE🙂
