Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and while everyone else is busy worrying about whether the turkey will be dry, we are focusing on making sure our holiday greetings are delightfully unexpected.
Today’s tutorial is all about creating a card that does a complete mechanical swoosh when your recipient opens it. We are building a interactive wiper card
.
A hidden mechanism swings into view the moment the card is unfolded. A cute turkey balloon pops right out from behind a color filled city skyline, mimicking a festive holiday parade.
Because one card is never quite enough once the crafting momentum takes over, I ended up assembling a second variation. This one features a deep night sky backdrop where a cheerful toy soldier balloon leaps up into the evening air.
Both of these interactive designs come together smoothly with the clever Hero Arts Big Fun Die Set and a few extra treasures from the Parade Day Release. Let’s clear off the crafting table and get making!
