Simon Says Stamp – Sending Cheer Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello, cardmaking friends!

Welcome to my blog and welcome to day two of the Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Blog Hop! Usually, we typically reach for twenty shades of blues and white for winter cards.

Not today. I ignored the seasonal rules entirely and loaded up my desk with bright pink, rich orange, and the stunning new Tiger Lily Cardstock.

Ready to see how this came together? Scroll down to watch the full video tutorial!

Giveaway Details!

Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment section. Simon Says Stamp will choose the winner and post the winner on the Simon Says Stamp blog where you can find out how to redeem your prize.

In today’s tutorial, we are making a pretty sunset color theme and both are made in 5 Easy Steps! First, a cozy pair of Stitched Mittens paired with the intricate Starlet Snowflake.

Next, because paper waste is a crime, we are rescuing the lovely negative leftover piece and making a shaker with it. The Joyful Snowman was the perfect focal point!

  1. I am loving the soft red effect. I can see this used (in red) on valentine cards and in blue on winter/snowy cards.

  8. There is not much better than getting a two-fer when card making. I absolutely love everything about your cards, starting with the non-traditional color pallet. Those Mittens are so stinking cute laying on top of that fabulous new snowflake die. Speaking of that fab new snowflake die, the negative of it made for a perfect shaker. Seriously I love the sound of that shaker so much I want to make a no-frills version just to lay on my craft table to shake every now & then while I’m making cards, that shimmity shake sound just made me smile. The snowlady is so, so cute and was perfect to stand on a bank of the new Tiger Lily cardstock. WINTER PERFECTION X’s 2 Tina !!!
