Cardmaking 101 – Creating an Elegant, Gold-Splattered Dressform Card

Hello, cardmaking friends!

Some craft projects look like they took hours, but actually come together quite easily. This dressmaker card is one of those projects. It features a lot of detail, but the process is straightforward.

Today we are creating a soft feminine, vintage-style card with no greeting. The design uses soft pinks, sunny yellows, and bright teals across a trio of elegant gowns. To make these, I used the Couture Dressform Die set.

For the background, I wanted rich texture. I used the Haberdashery Buttons 3D embossing folder to create a field of multi-colored paper buttons. Both the dies and the folder are from the Buttons and Keepsakes collection by Frank Garcia.

To finish the card, I added metallic DMC floss and a light gold paint splatter for a bit of shine. It adds a lovely touch of elegance to the final piece without requiring a lot of extra work. The full tutorial is ready for you below, enjoy!

So grab a cup of coffee, gather your supplies and let’s get crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by, wishing you a day filled with crafty supplies, love, laughter and smiles! Sending crafty hugs, Tina. đŸ’Œ
