Cardmaking In 5 Easy Steps with Simon Says Stamp Willowweave and More

Cardmaking In 5 Easy Steps – Cards & Coffee Time – June 09, 2026

Hi there awesome cardmakers! I’m sharing a card today that uses some of the newer pieces from the Simon Says Stamp Always There Release. This release has so many thoughtful items, and I found myself reaching for a few specific ones to create a quiet, gentle sympathy card. Today’s card is using my 5 Step Formula.

For the focal point, I chose a delicate white butterfly. To give it a tiny bit of light, I added a silver glitter center, which feels peaceful without being too loud. The butterfly is resting on light green flourishes I stamped from the With Sympathy Stamp and Die set—those soft leafy bits always help ground a design.

For the background, I wanted something subtle but textured, so I went with a tone-on-tone look. I used the Willowweave Plate die with a mix of cream cardstock and white. It creates such a lovely, woven pattern that doesn’t distract from the message. There is actually a coordinating Willowweave Stencil that is just as pretty as the plate, though I decided to stick with the die-cut texture for this specific project.

Sometimes the simplest combinations of cream, white, and a hint of green are all you need to send a little comfort.

So grab your favorite cuppa and let’s dive into it together! Here’s to a day filled with sunshine, smiles, and endless creativity, where every moment holds the potential for creativity and discovery! Let’s embrace what we love to make and share them with the people we love! Crafty hugs, Tina
